How to Stay Motivated in 2016 for the Children's Hospital

Happy Off-Season Ladies and Gentlemen!

It's time to put the chocolate down and start 2016 fresh :)

Motivation (or lack thereof) is the most common hindrance to almost every client through the door here - some say lack of time, but let's face it, if you're motivated, you'll make anything work.

I was reading an interesting book talking about psychology and motivation and there's a bloody good point we're putting in to practice this year.
You see, if you're a 'competitive' person, it will help you stay motivated - particularly in a group setting like our bootcamps.

The 'problem' is, we don't have any ego or competitive oriented people. All of you come because you like the social aspect of Bounce, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than Personal Training. Whereas the weightlifting club I'm at, we certainly enjoy the social and 'club vibe, but we stay for the competitions.

So for you, we're flipping the script on how to keep you on track!!!
Study's have suggested you'll respond better not by rewarding you, but from taking away from You! Ahhhhh! (red is the colour of warning, see what I did there ;))

You see, some people like to 'win' something, but for others, their greatest motivation comes from possible losing something.
So how can we make this work for everyone? Simple,
1. Next session you're back, I want you to write on the wall how many sessions you'll attend in the next 4 weeks (people work better off small goals).
2. You're then going to put a small amount of money into our jar (it doesn't have to be much; $10 - $20 should do it);
3. If you haven't made all your sessions in four weeks all the money not 'won' goes to the Sydney Children's Hospital. Otherwise take your money back and feel satisfied that you're four weeks healthier.

It's the principal of committing and then losing that can drastically help keep you motivated, AND support a great cause! (Try using your hectic schedule on these kids for a lack of exercise!)

BUT what about those that like winning something too!

Fear not, we've got your free 5 Down T-Shirts ready for the first 5 kilo's you lose :)

Training's back from this Monday.
Reminder that Monday night is at Waverton (see timetable below).

Think about how many sessions you can make in the next 4 weeks, come at me with a number and we'll book in your free Nutrition too.

Bring on 2016, You're all ready for this! ;) Please call me with any last minute questions.

Committed to your success,

Sam Struthers
