Sam has been a Personal Trainer & Strength & Conditioning Coach for over 7 years in Sydney’s Lower North Shore. After working at Willoughby Leisure Centre, Fitness First in Chatswood, and Gordon Rugby Gym, he opened his own Studio Gym in 2011.
“I started weight training in a small gym at UTS Kuring-gai where I was studying. I did not have the opportunity to work or train in a small gym again until the move to Gordon Rugby in 2009. I’ve always preferred small gyms; with free weights and a genuine vibe, so that’s what we’re creating here.
“Our Members appreciate meeting other members by name, and being able to train without the circus style sales. So really a big thanks to Fitness First for making us stand out as a gym with a soul! Sam’s journey through the fitness industry began in 2009, when he commenced his study to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and began working as a personal trainer. Since that time Sam has gained extensive experience in many facets of the industry and as a result is able to offer you the complete health and exercise experience, no matter what your needs. Through an integrated holistic approach to your lifestyle needs, Sam’s aim is to enhance your quality of life and achieve mental, emotional and physical fulfillment.
With over 500 hours of experience working with musculoskeletal rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation and the management of other chronic conditions such as Diabetes (Type I and II), Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), Dyslipidemias (e.g. high cholesterol), osteoporosis, arthritis, obesity and others, Sam is the person to see to help you manage your condition and increase your quality of life. Such is his passion for helping improve the lives of those living with chronic conditions, Sam has worked tirelessly to develop his own Diabetes management program designed to improve your blood sugar control, reduce your waistline and significantly reduce your risks of further complications.
His sport specific strength and conditioning resume boasts a range of athletes competing in different sport disciplines, from the average weekend warrior, to athletes performing at a national level. His experience includes athletes competing in Australian Rules Football, Ice Hockey, Cricket, Soccer, Athletics, Powerlifting, Rugby, Fitness Competitions and more. A number of athletes under his supervision have competed at the highest level in their chosen disciplines, including one AFL Draft nominee, many rookie contracted AFL players, Australian Ice Hockey representatives, Australian powerlifting record holders and female all-Australian footballers.

With an AIF Masters Trainer certificate and a background in professional tennis, Ivana prides herself on developing training programs specific to individual needs while supporting the growth of confidence and motivation to achieve.
After 10 years of competitive tennis (3 years on the professional circuit), travelling between all Australian states and internationally, Ivana utilises her vast range of experiences into transforming training to provide each individual with a liberating experience to achieve optimal results.
